Academic recognition
| In May 2006 the JAE was selected for coverage in the Social Sciences Citation Index, beginning with Vol. VIII (2005), and included in the ISI Master Journal List (Thomson Scientific). |
In the LogEc statistics of September 2006 the JAE was ranked number two in a list of 529 academic journals of economics and business. This ranking is constructed based on the number of accesses per published item during the last 3 months.

Aims and Scope
The Journal of Applied Economics publishes original contributions on applied issues in micro and macroeconomics. The primary criteria for selecting papers are quality and importance for the field. Papers based on a well motivated research problem that make a concrete contribution to empirical economics or applied theory are especially encouraged.

Journal is published semiannually, in May and November, and
